Rainbow Ukulele is a system for teaching Ukulele in the elementary general music classroom. In this system, students are systematically taught the history of the ukulele, the parts of the ukulele, how to tune, reading music (TAB and traditional notation), fingerstyle, and chords. String; Preparation. Cut the string into pieces that measure feet long, one piece for each student. Tie pieces of string to each rubber band, spaced equally apart, to create a “rubber band tool.” How It Works. Divide the class into small groups of students each. Give each group 6 cups, and a rubber band tool.
